Greetings, I am Kyle Lumsden. Back in 1996, my business journey with ClearView commenced alongside my partner. Our modest beginnings featured just one truck, and our office was nestled within a basement. Recognizing the value of every customer, we adopted a simple principle: treat others as we ourselves would want to be treated.
The origins of this customer-centric approach trace back to my youth, specifically at the age of 12, when I delved into the pages of “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” This book resonated deeply with me and left an indelible mark.
As I matured, a friend requested my assistance on a plumbing assignment. Upon completing the task, my father inquired about my experience. I responded positively, prompting his supportive comment, “You seem to excel at this; consider making it your profession.”
This nudged me toward embarking on an apprenticeship in construction plumbing. While I valued the craftsmanship, my affinity for personal interactions and a desire to engage in a service-oriented industry persisted. Further motivation arose from absorbing insights from literary works such as “Customers for Life” and “The Marriott Way.”
In 1996, a pivotal decision led me to transition into service plumbing, thus establishing ClearView. By 2001, I had assumed full ownership after buying out my partner. From these humble origins, our enterprise has flourished to encompass a fleet of 9 trucks and a dedicated team of over 12 skilled professionals. Our focus remains twofold: promptly resolving immediate concerns and proactively eradicating their underlying causes to avert recurrence.
